Parents: Do your children tend to bond with the opposite sex parent more?

I'm wondering how common it is for a child to have the stronger relationship with his or her parent who is the opposite sex. (I.e Son will love his mother more and a daughter will go to the father) Is it like this in your home? your friends parents etc. Also, who is your favourite child and what makes them more special over the others?? share your experience and opinions please, thanks.
